My partner and friends were attending an acrofest that was being held at the Kalani Retreat center, so this was the perfect location as it was only 3 mins away from the retreat center. The Airbnb had everything we needed for a good nights sleep after a day of active workshops and the lanai was perfect for morning yoga. Marcy (the co-host) was also very responsive and communicative with everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again, even if it’s just to get away from town!

Grace’s place was a great place for my elderly father and I to call home for 2 weeks!! Dad settled in nicely upstairs and really enjoyed relaxing out on the spacious and peaceful lanai each day. Also enjoyed the close proximity to Kalani, Kehena Beach, Uncle Roberts and Pahoa- always something to enjoy !!

We really enjoyed our stay in the LavaHaleHouse, it is really awesome. At the beginning we needed some time to get used to the surrounding: it is in the middle of nowhere in the rainforest! But once realized how special this place is, it was really hard for us to leave

Our hosts were kind and helpful, and responded to all of our messages rather quickly. We felt right at home and settled in well. It is far from any bigger towns so you have to prepare for your stay there but it’s nothing we weren’t aware of! We enjoy living “off grid” and this house does it comfortably. I would definitely recommend it!

Close to a few black sand beaches and hot springs. Quiet side of the island. Excellent communication, would stay again.

The house has everything you need and more. Our host Marcy visited us ans brought us her yoga Equipment so we could practise on the terrace in the morning. In the garden there are fresh fruits and you can hear and feel Nature all over. Thank you so much – Mahalo!!!
